Island hopping on the ocean’s highway

Set sail on ‘the ocean’s highway’ and explore the beautiful islands in Eastern Jutland’s archipelago; Alrø, Tunø, Samsø, Hjarnø and Endelave.

Head out to the islands in your own boat or hop aboard the ferry and let the captain take you to your destination, while you relax.

Every island has its own authentic experiences, so visit as many of the islands as you please and bring home even more unique experiences.

Listen to viking stories at Hjarnø. Make your own herb schnapps with wild plants from Endelave. Enjoy the view from Tunø’s combined church tower and lighthouse.

Visit the world’s largest maze on Samsø or experience Alrø, which inspired the Danish writer Morten Korch.

Every summer you can ride your bike from Odder across Alrø and take the special bike ferry to Hjarnø, before taking the ferry to Snaptun, where you can continue your trip along Horsens fjord.
