Horsens Art Museum
Horsens Art Museum is centrally located, yet peaceful in Caroline Amalie Lund park, overlooking the city and the fjord. The settings are unique: light, broadness, peace and harmony characterise the architecture, which frames high quality art.
Horsens Art Museum has Denmark’s largest collection of art by the Danish artists Michael Kvium and Bjørn Nørgaard. Also the museum has key works by artists such as Christian Lemmerz, Erik A. Frandsen, Tal R. and Cathrine Raben Davidsen. Besides the permanent exhibitions, which contains art dating from the end of last the century to today, the museum also arrange interesting special exhibitions.

Horsens Museum
At Horsens Museum you can watch exciting special exhibitions and immerse yourself in the permanent exhibitions.
The local and world-famous explorer Vitus Bering, is being honoured with an impressive exhibition where his travels are described in an audio-visual show. The impressive silver collection is worth a visit, or you can remember the pleasures of childhood in “Horsens Chronicle” and play in “Curious Fingers’ Paradise” with a big doll’s house or a castle.

The impressive exhibition about Vitus Bering – the world-famous explorer who went on a voyage of discovery to Sibiria and Alaska. Also, experience Horsens in the Middle Ages. Everyday life from the 1870’s up to the 1990’s which is vitalised in an exciting exhibition. Throughout the year, you will find special exhibitions and exciting events.

Denmark’s Industrial Museum
Denmark’s Industrial Museum is located in Horsens’ former electricity- and gasworks. The powerful engines are often started - generating noise and smoke and rotation of gearwheels and flywheels. It is a fascinating sight to watch the operator control the steam whistle, belt drives and numerous levers.
After the significant show in the engine hall, the visitors are guided through the development of the welfare society via 6 apartments with living rooms, kitchens, laundry facilities, workers’ gardens and even an outdoor loo.
In the Café – Gaslight - the visit can be supplemented with Danish lunch specialities or a glass of wine. In the Museum Shop you can find unique presents, which will complete your visit.
